Measure

Unit Of Measure For Italian Recipe

When I began to write this website my first problem were the units of measure! In Italy and Europe we use the International System of Units (grams, kilogrms, metres, litres etc) it is easy, intuitive and international. In the USA, UK and Australia teaspoons, tablespoons and cups are used as units of measure.

It could seem easy but the problem is that the american cup is different from the UK cup, in turn different from the Australia cup, in turn different from food and drug administration cup and I would like to write a website for all english speaking people. And that’s not all, a cup of water is different from a cup of rice in turn different from a cup flour etc etc.

For this reason I have to round off the measures, I’m using this conversion but If you have any problems you can write on website.
